Our staff agrees that this is the District's most important educational activity.  This event is a fun and interesting way for fourth graders to learn about agriculture and natural resources.  Farm Field Day 2005 was held on October 18 and 19.  1420 students and 53 teachers representing 16 schools took part in this year's event.  Over 100 volunteers shared their time, talents, and in some cases, their animals, to make Farm Field Day a success.

Farm Field Days will be held on October 17 and 18 in 2006.

Each class that attended Farm Field Day received a box full of educational materials that were donated by partner agencies and agricultural commodity organizations.  These materials help reinforce the ideas and information presented at Farm Field Day.

As a part of the preparation for Farm Field Day, PWSWCD sponsors an Ag In the Classroom teacher workshop in September.
