Preschool Programming

Preschool Programming:

Our Preschool Programming is designed for ages 3-5. We focus on environmental education themed topics that can be modified to teach any science subject.  Each program is FREE and done in your classroom and on your school grounds. The programs are 45 minutes to 1 hour and include an outside component. Some potential* subjects are:

  • Litter Bugs: What is pollution and how does it get into the water? See a demonstration of a Watershed Model and help learn about how to clean up litter by looking for it outside.

  • Water, Water, Everywhere: Why does it rain/snow? Where do puddles go on a sunny day? What’s in a cloud?  Have fun with our Water Cycle Felt Board, then go on a search for water clues outside.

  • Soil, Soil, Everywhere: What is soil? Who lives in the soil? Who needs the soil? Go outside and investigate under leaves and logs to find soil clues.

  • Rock On: What is a rock? Where do rocks come from? Investigate different types of rocks inside then go outside to find some fascinating rocks.

  • Animal Homes: Why do animals need homes? What animals live around here in the woods? Take a walk outside to find animal homes.
